The Greenifyd Index is an independently developed sustainability rating system designed to assess and communicate a brand’s environmental and ethical performance using publicly available and verifiable information. Its core objective is to empower consumers with transparent insights and to support businesses in building trust through evidence-based sustainability commitments.
This initiative forms a foundational component of the Greenifyd platform, reflecting our mission to improve sustainability transparency and recognition for eco-conscious brands.
Brands are assigned a score out of 100, segmented into five tiers:
■■■■■ (90–100): Sustainability Champion
■■■■ (75–89): Leader in Sustainability
■■■ (50–74): Making Sustainable Progress
■■ (30–49): Needs Improvement
■ (0–29): Low Sustainability Signal
These categories help consumers quickly understand the relative strength of a brand’s sustainability performance.
The Greenifyd Index draws from a set of common, widely recognised ESG-aligned categories:
Sustainability certifications and standards (e.g. B Corp, Fair Trade, Climate Active)
Product and packaging sustainability indicators
Transparency around sourcing and supply chain practices
Public carbon disclosures and climate targets
Stated sustainability mission and pledges
Customer sentiment and third-party reviews
Public reputation and compliance/regulatory history
Greenifyd relies exclusively on public and verifiable data, including:
Brand websites and official sustainability reports
Accreditation databases and certification registries
Independent audit summaries (where available)
Third-party sustainability databases
Aggregated customer reviews
Media and regulatory mentions
Brands are not required to submit information to be included in the index, but may request a review or provide clarifications.
Our MVP implementation of the Greenifyd Index combines:
A structured evaluation rubric across the above categories
AI-powered tools to support keyword and sentiment extraction
Manual validation of scoring inputs by our internal team
Foundational scoring logic developed in consultation with sustainability researchers and ESG practitioners
As the MVP progresses, we will continue to refine category weightings, automate scoring pipelines, and improve robustness.
Note: While this public summary outlines our core framework, the exact scoring logic, weightings, and aggregation methods remain proprietary and are considered part of Greenifyd’s intellectual property.
Increased consumer visibility through a clear sustainability tier
Eligibility to display the Greenifyd Index badge
Category-level feedback and improvement areas
Early access to platform features for high-index brands
The Greenifyd Index is based on available data and may not capture internal initiatives not publicly disclosed. Scores are reviewed periodically and may evolve as more data becomes available or as methodology improves.
