I purchased the Compost bin because the pot that I was using attracted both bugs and smelled, even though i had it covered. I have used the bin for about 4 months and it's wonderful! I can fill it right up to the top, and it never smells or attracts pests. I empty it quite easily into my composter outside, bring it inside, give it a rinse and it's back to collecting my organic matter. I highly recommend this product.
